Cindy Blevins
MSN, CRNP

Cindy likes to do things in doubles. She came into the world in northern New Jersey, in the first pair of two sets of twins in her family. Her college degree was in twin majors of education and missions. A career in nursing beckoned, and a year later she added an RN degree and began working in the twin fields of education and nursing in both New Jersey and Delaware. While working as a hospital nurse, she went on to earn a Masters degree in Education.

In 1988 she married her husband, Jim, and moved to Pennsylvania, where she continued work as an ICU and Cardiac Rehab nurse, and added interests in nursing staff development and performance improvement. This led to writing various articles about staff education and competency and the co-authoring of a book on those twin topics.

Continuing her own education, she completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner and MSN program at the University of Delaware and was certified in Dec. 2000. Dual interests in cardiology and hospice kept her occupied until we at GIM invited her to join us in May of 2002. She completed her Family Certification at the University of Delaware in the Spring of 2003.

Cindy lives in Quarryville with her husband and two children Shelby and Ryan (not twins!). Enjoying her family, camping, hiking and church activities occupy her few leisure hours.
