What is Medical Nutritional Therapy?

General Internal Medicine is happy to offer nutrition counseling for individuals and in a group setting at the Point West office. Carol Spicher is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator who works in the lower level of the Point West office to counsel clients on making healthier food and exercise choices.

Her office hours are: Mondays 10:00-6:00 pm
                                          Wednesdays 8:00-2:30 pm
                                          Thursdays 8:00-2:30 pm

Carol Spicher, who is herself diabetic and wears the insulin pump, offers as a  subspecialty of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Insulin Pump Therapy or Carbohydrate Counting.  Since she  wears the insulin pump, she is very enthusiastic about teaching those with Type I or Type 2 Diabetes how to count Carbohydrate grams as a tool to help control one's diabetes.
